Gift For You

Dear Friend, Imagine with me a little scenario... It's 7 AM and the doorbell rings. Your spouse shuffles to the door, opens it wide and says... “Honey? Some guys are here and they want to talk with you...” You stumble out of bed, shaking your head and thinking, “Who could be stopping by at this hour?” Pulling on a bathrobe, you slowly make your way into the kitchen......and you can't believe what you're seeing..

Back from Jakarta

Yang uda kelar pun, keren2 banget...bener2 deh...if you say Indonesia is in crisis, it does not look like one...Cuman ya, maybe there is other side of the coin that I have not see.

And talk about my Brother Wedding...hoho...last minute kena arrow jadi IC acaranya...tanpa arahan and details yg jelas...udah sempet bete aja...But anyway, after thinking through, it is MY BROTHER wedding after all, need to give the best...

Yang datang ada kali 650an, udah kaya pasar malam, ampe pusink ngeliatan, mana harus make sure makanan tetap ada and ditop up...mengerikan ngeliat gimana orang2 serbu makanan, some don't even care what is happening in front, all the atttention is on the food....bener2 deh....for me, I still prefer a small scale wedding dimana cuman orang2 deket aja yg datang :)

Mat 5: 14 You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. 15Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven

Bad or Good News, You choose!

In the midst of all the bad news revolving all around, be it about the global recession, share market plunges even further after G20 meeting, job cuts for many companies, cost of living rise up substantially, stress people jumped to tiger cage (this happened in Singapore), in similar tone, tiger ate up a woman in one of the natural reserve in Indonesia because of the ecosystem has been damaged and causing lack of food for the tiger. And the list can go on and on if you decide to see and focus on this bad news.

On the other hand, there are our good friends wedding coming up, Christmas is coming, Promotion for some of us, new relationship, new babies born, those that are close in our heart.

What my point is there are much news around, it is up to us to choose what to hear and what to see, of course, I did not mean that we should shield off everything and become ignorant of what's happening in world.

But what I believe is; there is always sunshine after the rain and there are always opportunities in the midst of crisis (if there are people losing money, surely there are people gaining money during this time), job cut that you experience may bring you to a better opportunity or maybe you should set up your own business!

In conclusion, always give thanks in every circumstances, savor every moments with your closed ones (Family, friends), and always look at the bright side (not an easy task you might think, but it will surely make your life easier as compared if you keep looking at the downhill) J

Story of the Baby Elephant

Do you know how the trainer in the zoo train the elephant (imagine that they are such a big and strong animal).

What they do is since the elephant is baby; they will tie one of their legs using the iron chain. So whenever the baby elephant want to move, their movement will be restricted by the iron chain. The baby elephant did tried to break free the chain, however since they are still so young, the chain seems too strong for the baby elephant. The baby elephant tried and tried but yet they still can’t overcome it.

Along with time as the elephant grow, the trainer replaces the iron chain with just a normal rope. You may wonder why??? Even with iron chain, the fully grown elephant can easily break it free and now they replace that with just a normal rope? The answer is simple; there is bigger chain that has locked the elephant! That is THEIR OWN MIND. Whenever the elephant feel the presence of rope around their leg, they will stop moving just as when the iron chain locked their leg when they were baby.

Do you know that OUR MIND is such a powerful thing? If you keep thinking and feeding your MIND with: “No, I can’t do it”; “I’m such a failure”; “This thing is too tough for me”; “I will never be successful”; It may imprisoned you forever just what happen to the elephant.

Just like a saying: Everything starts in your mind, let’s feed this friend of us with POSITIVE thought that will lead to positive action and hence positive result in our life!

ps: I have created other blog about success learning in www.whoyoulearnfrom.blogspot.com
promosi neh ceritanya hehehehe

Mr T

Remember Mr T from the A-Team movie who played the legendary Sgt. B.A. Baracus (the strong mechanic in the team)

Found out this article in beliefnet which is very inspiring....
Can you tell me a little about your spiritual life?
I was baptized when I was four years old. But when you’re younger you really don’t understand that stuff. Then I got rebaptized in 1977. As a Christian you forgive and you feed the hungry, and clothe the naked, and you visit the sick, and comfort the lonely. If I’m a true follower of my lord and savior Jesus Christ, I got to do the things you’re supposed to be doing. You just can’t say, "I believe in Jesus" and then don’t forgive somebody [or] hold a grudge against somebody. Don’t get me wrong--if somebody jumps me I’m gonna fight, but I don't send out hate vibes if I don’t like that person or the way that they dress. That’s negative energy. Then there is a contradiction to the God I serve, the God of love. He forgave me, and I should do good to the people who cross me.

In 1979, before I got famous, there was a contest called the Toughest Bouncer in America. I used to bodyguard for some celebrities and other people, and when I wasn’t doing that I used to work at a disco as a doorman or a bouncer. When I started training for the contest I called my pastor, Rev. Henry Hardy of Cosmopolitan Community Church [in Chicago]. I’ve been going there since 1977. I said, “Pastor Hardy, they’re having a contest, and when I win this contest I’m going to give you the money, so you can buy food and clothes for less fortunate people in the community." I won two years in a row—it was over $10,000. I didn’t have no car then, but I was blessed. So I gave the money freely, and then my blessing came back in the form of "Rocky III."

After I gave that money to my church, I got the call a month and a half later. They said Sylvester Stallone is going to do "Rocky III," and he’s interested in you. Then they sent me the script, and I auditioned, and I got the part. I’d like to think that because I gave freely, it came back to me. Because I was taught that when you give, God will open up the storehouse to the heavens and pour down blessings you won’t even have room enough to store. And that’s what’s been happening ever since. I tell everybody, I get so much because I give so much. I give freely, I give all my time, give all my money, give all of my soul. I try to motivate people. I try to inspire them.

What do you pray for?

I get up every morning and say, "Father, give me strength today, not strength so I can lift 500 pounds, but give me strength, Lord, so when I speak, my words might motivate, might inspire somebody, Lord, when they see me, let them see you. When they hear me, Lord, let them hear you. In your holy name I pray."

I say to the Lord, "when they see me, let them see you" so you know I can’t be coming out of the strip bar with a couple women on my arm. And I say "Lord, when they hear me let them hear you"--that means I can’t be telling them nasty jokes I used to tell. Because the Bible says, every time Christ sees a new creature, old things are passed away. I’m not the same man I used to be, I’m not out hell-raising, stuff like that. I am a changed man. I said that God abides by me and I abide by him. I said I let God live in me. So I tell people when I step out, I’m representing the God I serve, I’m representing the mother who loved me and who used to knock on the neighbor’s door so I could have money to go to school.
